Tourist attractions in Ivory Coast

On the weekend I saw the soccer game they played Ivory Coast and Japan and I kept thinking about the first of these two countries. Ivory Coast is in West Africa and has a coastline on the immense North Atlantic. It borders Liberia, Ghana, Mali, Burkina Faso and Guinea, and until the 60s it used to be a French colony.

Although it has a richer economy than its neighbors, political problems, instability and unrest are not alien to this charming country with a tropical climate on the coast, and semi-arid inland. Finally, what is beautiful about an African country are its landscapes and national parks, recognized by UNESCO itself as world heritages.

Which ones are the best national parks of Ivory Coast? Well, the Taï National Park, which contains what remains of the world's ancient tropical forests, the Comoé National Park and the Mount Nimba Nature Reserve. They are ideal places to see rhinos, lions, hippos and chimpanzees. And furthermore, among the Ivory Coast tourist destinations we can also include the beaches.

There are many coastal towns dating from colonial times, Grand Bassam, for example, to Assouinde. Be careful, they are not Caribbean beaches but the Atlantic, so although they are beautiful, the sea is rough. Of course, we cannot ignore the capital of the Ivory Coast either, yamoussoukro, with its spectacular Basilica of Our Lady of Peace, a huge replica of St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. They say it has more glass than all of France has.

And here you can visit museums, go shopping, eat and more. Do not stop knowing the modern city of abidjam, Paris of Africa, with more beautiful beaches. But is it safe to go on a trip to Ivory Coast? So so. We must be cautious because although the political situation has stabilized, it is still an African country.
